The Eyes of the Dragon KICKS ASS.
I KNOW!
I swear this one i will guard with my life!
*flails*
its what introduced me to Stephen King!
I’ve been through FOUR copies of that damn book.
Each one has died a horrid death
cause that book does NOT deserve its fate!
Awesome.
The Eyes of the Dragon is one of the few Steven King books I was willing to read and liked.
it caught my eye because of the covere when i was in High School
An ex of mine got me to read it.
Wow…4 copies. You’ve shattered my record…I have more than one copy of some S.K. books, but it’s mostly because someone got me the hardcover first (like with From A Buick 8) and I bought the paperback later. Hardcovers are ok, but a paperback can be put into a purse or a backpack and it’s easier to read (at least for me). I do have two paperback copies (same edition) of The Stand and Nightmares and Dreamscapes. The former is my all-time favorite novel, and my first copy is bound together with duct tape. I didn’t have the heart to pitch it, so I got a new copy to read to tatters. N and D is another favorite, but I bought a new copy of it because my dog, Da Vinci, chewed the corner off it. I think I did toss that one, because it was missing most of the last story.
What else by S.K. have you read?
Not much.
I tried to read a few of his books and never really did get far into them. I don’t like to read the stuff he normally writes.
The only two movies I like that he wrote are The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.
…though The Shawshank Redemption is quite possibly one of my favorite movies ever.
I like all his stuff except the Dark Tower series. “The Shawshank Redemption” is a great movie…the novella that it’s based upon is called Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, and it’s in the book Different Seasons. The movies “Apt Pupil” (I didn’t see it, and heard awful reviews) and “Stand By Me” are based on two other novellas in that book (Apt Pupil and The Body).
I guess I should look into the books the movies were based off of. XD
I never did watch Stand By Me or Apt Pupil. I know what Stand By Me is about, but I don’t know what Apt Pupil is about.
It’s kind of a twisted story…basically, this 12 year old kid finds a Nazi war criminal living in his hometown in CA, and they develop a relationship wherein the kid keeps the guy’s secret in exchange for hearing all the “gross details” about the Final Solution. It warps the kid, and eventually they have mutual interdependence. The story was pretty decent, but I’ve heard that the movie sucked.
…Yeah I think I’ll skip that one.
I might watch Stand By Me one day though. I hear it’s not all that weird and freaky and scary.
One of my exes got me to watch It with him. Mind you I already had an issue with clowns. >_> I had nightmares for a week.
“Stand By Me” is great…there’s nothing scary about it.
Yeah, that was a bad idea…I think It is way too overblown and long, and the movie is just plain creepy.
I try to be careful what I watch though. I tend to get most of my movie watching in while my son is awake.
XD He’s a huge Shrek fan though.
“Shrek” is awesome.
